Is your drain clogged?
If you have slow moving or standing water in your sink or tub, that means the drain is either clogged or damaged. Ron Miller plumbing will be happy to clean it or replace it, but here are some tips to try first.
Sink Cleaning Tips:
1) Find your plunger and make a tight seal around the drain opening. Be sure to cover up any overflow holes with your finger and do 4 to 5 hard thrusts with the plunger. Repeat this process several times and if the water beings moving, you are successful!
2) If that doesn't work, there are a few household items that can help break up contents of the drain. Vinegar and baking soda react to make a foaming solution and can help loosen up clogged drains. Make sure to put on some eye protection! No need to mix prior to pouring down the drain; start with the baking soda, then add the vinegar. Let that sit for 15-20 minutes and try again.
