Tips To Clean Drains

Use A Plunger

Find your plunger and make a tight seal around the drain opening. Be sure to cover up any overflow holes with your finger and do 4 to 5 hard thrusts with the plunger. Repeat this process several times and if the water beings moving, you are successful!

Use Household Items

Use a few household items that can help break up contents of the drain. Vinegar and baking soda react to make a foaming solution and can help loosen up clogged drains. Make sure to put on some eye protection! No need to mix prior to pouring down the drain; start with the baking soda, then add the vinegar. Let that sit for 15-20 minutes and try again.

Open Cabinets

You can prevent frozen pipes by opening cabinets and allowing both hot and cold water drip overnight. Make sure all pipes in unheated areas are insulated, and set your thermostat to no lower than 55 degrees.
